1. Project

OCEANIC GROUNDS is an intellectual project charting a new approach to water and the terrain of water through an architectural lens. The project recognizes the inextricable link in fluctuating and changing conditions to that of water: the lack of / the abundance of / the desert / the flood. 

 

2. Background

Elisa Kim Kulosman is Assistant Professor at Smith College, and Director of Oceanic Grounds.

She has previously taught at Washington University in St. Louis, Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Art, and practiced in the offices of Axi:Ome (St. Louis), Plasma Studio (London), and Schulze + Grassov (Copenhagen and St. Louis).
